Phlebotomist/Specimen Processor - Part Time - 1348000
Description
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Performing accurate and timely processing of requests for laboratory testing as requested by the medical staff and/or clients of the hospital, including patient registration, specimen collection, specimen processing, clerical and customer service functions needed to provide the service requested
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Possess basic phlebotomy skills preferred. Must successfully complete Piedmont Hospitals phlebotomy training course within 1 year of employment and demonstrate proficiency in phlebotomy skills through testing and class certification. Must have a working knowledge of clinical laboratory and tests performed. Typing and basic computer skills necessary. Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to make independent judgement and use initiative. Must be multi-functional and able to maintain accuracy and alertness in a busy setting. (Prefer previous Specimen Processing/Phlebotomy experience in high volume hospital)
